Ledaig 25 Year Old Oloroso Cask Finish (Darkness)
A belter from Tobermory, brought to us as part of the independent Darkness collection. This peated Ledaig single malt spent a generous 25 years maturing, including a finish in little oloroso sherry octaves, bringing balanced sweetness to the robust smoke beneath. A release of 108 bottles, laden with dark chocolate, sweet smoke, nutty malt, and tannic oak.

Nose
Oh my goodness, yes. Deep, heavy, muddy, peat, fruity and sweet, licorice, tar and nutty
Palate
Robust but balanced sweetness and gentle peat smoke. Chewy caramels, robust malt, nutty maple syrup, and elegant waves of charred wood. Dark chocolate and gentle spices join in time.
Finish
Coffee and malty dark beer notes. Smoky, sweet, creamy, with notes of nutty, tannic, sherried oak. Outstanding cask.
