The Forgotten Gems collection specialises in saving very limited volumes of very delicious spirits from being well... forgotten! This one hails from the Tobermory distillery, it's a peaty Ledaig aged for 21 years, and there are just 19 bottles.
Smoky, meaty notes of cured meat, coastal breeze, and sultanas lead to salted tablet, a touch of buttery pastry, and drying oaken spice.
Generous layers of dense, leathery old oak cushion helpings of warm toffee, grilled fruit, and waves of coastal peat.
That sea breeze lingers, with salty smoke, dark chocolate, and a smidge of dried chilli heat.
