19 year old Ledaig, which is peated single malt Scotch whisky from the Tobermory distillery on the Isle of Mull. It was distilled in 1997 and bottled in 2016 by the folks at WM Cadenhead for their Small Batch collection, with an outturn of 252 bottles.
Well-toasted brown bread, with a thick layer of salted butter. Light notes of vanilla pod and vegetal peat smoke.
Cigar box, white pepper, plum and more smoke peat. A hint of green apple.
Quite sweet on the end, though still rich in peat.
