Smoky single malt from the Isle of Mull - yes, it's a cracking Ledaig, bottled up by Chorlton Whisky! This one was distilled by Tobermory in June 2010, matured in a bourbon barrel and then bottled up 10 years later at 57% ABV, with an outturn of 197 bottles. As with the rest of the Chorlton bottlings, it's got some art on the label. This one seems to depict someone taking half of a dog for a walk. The front half, since you asked...
...Oh, it's just coming out of the bushes! OK, it's an entire dog. Never mind us.
Crispy bacon and salted butter, with a hint of ripe red apples.
Enjoyably savoury, with oatcakes, smoked meats and sea salt.
A hint of citrus peels arrives late on the finish.
