Ledaig 10 Year Old 2009 (cask 14016) - Provenance (Douglas Laing)

From the Tobermory Distillery comes this smoky Ledaig single malt. The peated whisky was distilled in 2009 and left in a single refill hogshead for a decade, until Douglas Laing bottled it for the Provenance series, with an outturn of 411 bottles. A wonderfully smoky, maritime whisky here.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose

Lots of cured meats, with fragrant smoke, polished oak and a savoury sea breeze.

Palate

Smoky bacon and barley sugar, with berry sweetness and more peat smoke running throughout.

Finish

Crystallised ginger and salted dark chocolate.
