Wine Cask

From the Dun Bheagan range comes this 10-year-old Ledaig single malt Scotch, distilled in June 2007 and aged for 10 years with a red wine cask finish. It was bottled by Ian Macleod in 2018 with no chill-filtration or additional colouring at 46% ABV.
Caramel, soft redcurrant and orange peel lead with hints of plum jam, black pepper and soft oak underneath.
Oodles of Black Forest gâteau, resinous oak and more red berries. Fiery peat and vanilla add depth with baking spices.
Quite drying and lengthy.
