Description

This is a 10 year old Irish single malt whiskey released by the Tipperary Boutique Distillery Company Ltd, boasting a name that honours the Knockmealdowns mountain range. Drawn from a handful of ex-bourbon casks, this is sweet and enjoyable creamy.

Nose

Fragrant orange oil and fresh pineapple, with a hint of caramel underneath.

Palate

Light oak at first, before yet more juicy tropical fruits bring sweetness.

Finish

Lemon curd, honey and milky coffee.

A nice change from the rest

Having recently had some Middleton and Redbush 15, I came across this by happy accident! It held up well and is a perfectly acceptable drop. I had the fortune to have it in the company of friends, which makes most Whiskey that little bit better!! A well rounded, if sweet flavour with a nice hit of a ills at the end- you won’t be disappointed
