Thomson Whisky New Zealand Single Malt (Pinot Noir cask) 2019 - The Heart Cut #19
The Heart Cut presents the second from a duo of single cask releases from New Zealand’s fine independent Thomson Distillery. For this edition, single malt is aged entirely in a fresh New Zealand Pinot Noir cask sourced straight from Westbrook Winery in Waimauku and filled with whisky the day after the wine was emptied. Bottled at 51.5% ABV and limited to 412 bottles.

Nose
Spiced plum jam, wild strawberries, and a touch of salted caramel.
Palate
Bursting with dried cherries, figs, and warming sweet spice, wrapped in soft oak and malt richness.
Finish
Long, juicy, and indulgent, with lingering red fruit and gentle tannins.
