Westport 24 Year Old 1996 (Thompson Bros.)

A teaspooned malt from Thompson Bros.! This means that the majority of the whisky hails from one distillery, but a tiny smidge (or teaspoon) of whisky from another distillery has been added too. If you know anything about the link between giraffes and Scottish distilleries, then there could be a clue afoot...

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

    Nose

Ripe apple and waxy honey, with soft fudge, tart quince and cut grass.

    Palate

Honeysuckle and damp earth, followed by crisp orchard fruit and peppery oak, supported by oily citrus and toasted spices.

    Finish

Warming oak lingers alongside orange curd and tea leaves.
