Orkney 19 Year Old 2000 (Thompson Bros.)
This mystery Orkney single malt was distilled in 2000, and left in a single refill hogshead for nearly two decades. At 19 years old, Thompson Bros. bottled it up at cask strength, with 343 bottles released at 57.1% ABV. Perhaps the Viking-inspired illustration on the label will help give us a clue as to where it came from...

Nose
Lemon curd, buttered toast and tangy hints of tropical fruit.
Palate
Brown sugar, tinned pineapple and banana, with hints of oak char.
Finish
Peppery oak and earthy vanilla pod.
