Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Producer's Tasting Notes:
Powerful, lush, and boldly spicy. Flavours of toffee, fig cake, and glazed fruit, followed by mint, cinnamon and clove. The finish ultimately reveals subtle notes of allspice, coconut and nutmeg. Long and warm.

Don't miss out on this one!
Just had my first glass of Thomas H. Handy 2017. Bought for me by one of my sons for my upcoming 50th birthday. I've had quite a bit of whiskey over the years (no Pappy yet) and my bottle is the best I've ever had. Hits the tongue with a hint of brandy, washes over the back with a larger dose of oak/cherry and upon swallowing, you get an explosion of heat and your entire mouth gets treated to cinnamon/spice. The finish lingers for quite some time and never turns on you. I paired it with a Connecticut Hub cigar, while seated by the fire outside on a chilly night - for an experience that is not quickly forgotten. I will not be hitting this bottle too often - by the looks of how hard it is to acquire, it's one to keep around when you've got time to appreciate it. Get on the list for this one - Now Pappy Van Winkle has to live up to Thomas H. Handy Rye.
