This expression from independent bottler The Whisky Cellar is a blended malt Scotch whisky, drawn from a first-fill Oloroso sherry butt and bottled at 100° proof (or 57.1% ABV, if you prefer to use modern measurements of alcoholic strength). There's a touch of mystery around this one, as it's a teaspooned malt... A release of 699 bottles.
Victoria sponge, dried fruit, pecans, and biscuit dough.
Honeycomb, red berries, peanut brittle, a splash of citrus.
Toasted hazelnuts and another hint of orange.
Wasn't really expecting too much..but was really surprised,its a fantastic blend..Really opens up with a drop of water..its a bold statement but I would say its up there with the glenrothes uk single cask releases a few years ago..
