A secretive single malt from The Vintage Malt Whisky Co., independently bottled in celebration of Fèis Ìle 2018. Titled Smoke Bomb, this peat-heavy whisky was initially aged in American oak before enjoying a finishing period in a sherry cask. 780 bottles were produced.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Salty sea air and peat smoke, with just a touch of waxy orange peel in the background.
Palate
Medicinal peat and sherry-drenched raisins, supported by earthy barley notes.
Finish
New leather, petrichor and smoke.
