Description

The Vintage Malt Whisky Co. is back with another wonderful indie bottling of Islay single malt scotch, from a top secret distillery. Whilst we don't know exactly which Islay distillery this hailed from, we do know it was matured in American oak, before being treated to a finishing period in a Port wine pipe. In 2021, the whisky was bottled up for The Cooper's Choice collection, with a total of 600 bottles released.

Nose

Steamed fruits, juicy and sweet with wafts of smoked meats and charred oak.

Palate

Bold red fruits and berries, caramel and sweet smoke with a prickle of pepper and oily peat.

Finish

Dark chocolate, more summer fruits, and darker berries with a fabulous balance of smoky peat and soft spice.
