The source of Finlaggan has remained a very closely guarded secret. To tell the true origin of Old Reserve you'll simply have to taste it and find out!
Slightly medicinal nose with hints of peanut, sticking plasters, manuka honey and digestive biscuits.
Sweet cereals, barley malt, a little peat smoke, TCP, nutmeg and ginger.
A long, sweet finish with toasty oak and peppermint.

This is without a doubt the worst whisky I have ever tried. It reminds me of the Laphroaig Special Reserve which I also didn't like. This whisky has no smoke on the nose despite being an Islay spirit. The taste is impossibly nutty and queer but with smoke nonetheless. As for the finish it is horribly dry and incredibly short with a strange paint stripper-like quality. The aftertaste borders on faintly disgusting. I am going to give out free drams to as many of my friends as possible just to get rid of the stuff. My only concern is that I might put them off Islay whisky for life. Terrible stuff. Just terrible.
Terrible!
Love Smokey, I bought this for the first time and really enjoyed the smokey peaty flavor. For the money it is a good buy. Bottom line, I like it! And that is good enough for me.
Outstanding. Subtle peaty. Balanced, fine, a little bit of spicy. Young, not old, but very good price!
This is by far the worst whiskey you can ever buy, it literally tastes like smoked meat. As if someone left some ham in a smoker for hours and turned it into a liquid. I beg of you not to drink this God forsaken liquid, drinking my own piss would have been a better idea.
