Speyside 12yo Parcel 6 Bottling Note

It's the sixth parcel from The Single Malts of Scotland's Reserve Casks series. This expression was distilled at an undisclosed Speyside distillery in 2008 and filled into three ex-sherry casks, where it remained for a dozen years until eventually being bottled in 2021.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Sweet, sherried sultanas and nutty notes of maple syrup mingle with gently woody vanilla, earthy, musty coffee, and dark ginger cake.

Palate: Seedy toasted bread with plenty of butter and silky honey, dried orange peels, and more roasted nuts follow bittersweet baking spices, charred oak, butterscotch, and treacle toffee.

Finish: Dark fruit cake, raisins, spiced notes of clove, and anise with whisps of nutmeg and ginger balancing sweet, oaken caramel.
