“It is what I would call a masterpiece. The color when the light hits the glass, the smell when you pour it and put it under your nose. The taste that hits you when you taste it and the amazing experience of pure enjoyment. It is so rich in taste and smell that the very experience of opening the bottle is a pleasure. Even the bottle makes it something special. The story behind the choice of name and brand, makes the whole experience extra incredible. It is an extremely well thought out product, which is now my favorite brand. Well done.”

Description

The Sassenach is the first whisky launched by Sam Heughan (who you may know as the actor who plays Jamie Fraser on hit sci-fi TV show Outlander), inspired by picturesque Highland landscapes. Expect waves of butterscotch, fresh citrus and warming spices from this tasty blended Scotch whisky.

Nose

Fresh apricot and orange, with a drizzle of caramel and a slow build of cinnamon.

Palate

Waves of honey and vanilla fudge, dotted with raisin, almond and another helping of cinnamon spiciness.

Finish

Lasting nutmeg, citrus oils and toffee.

Well worth the cost!

Delicious! Needs a dash of water in it to develop the flavour.

Judith Asher Jan 4, 2022

Seventy nine pounds and ninety five pence!!!

Crikey. A, no age statement, blended Scotch at nearly eighty quid a bottle! Should make someone a tidy profit.

John Thorn Dec 26, 2021

Wonderfully smooth with dancing flavours.

A smooth blend of tantalising flavours which dance on the tongue. We really enjoyed Sassenach - thanks to Sam and the Blender: we raise a dram to you!
