    The Sassenach Blended Scotch Whisky

The Sassenach is the first whisky launched by Sam Heughan (who you may know as the actor who plays Jamie Fraser on hit sci-fi TV show Outlander), inspired by picturesque Highland landscapes. Expect waves of butterscotch, fresh citrus and warming spices from this tasty blended Scotch whisky.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

    Nose

Fresh apricot and orange, with a drizzle of caramel and a slow build of cinnamon.

    Palate

Waves of honey and vanilla fudge, dotted with raisin, almond and another helping of cinnamon spiciness.

    Finish

Lasting nutmeg, citrus oils and toffee.

save yer money, buy a single malt

£80 for a blend, way overpriced and tastes just like every other blended whisky out there. Only difference is, some bloke from Outlander has stupidly put his name to it, ergo the extortianate price

    1st taste ever of whisky

I've never ever tasted whisky in my 56yrs but on Monday this week I did the Highlander Tour with Andy McAlindon and he gave me a taste of this whisky and OMG it's gorgeous! Wish it wasn't so expensive but I will have to get a bottle to have as a treat. :-)

    It's ok..

It's a nice enough whisky but nothing special. Definitely overpriced.

    Needs work.

Far too expensive for a Blend. I can buy an aged quality Whisky for a LOT LESS!!!!

    Best blend I know!?

I’m not a whisky drinker but I do quite like a wee dram for special occasions like New Year or Burns Nicht . I bought a bottle and my husband really liked it . I bought another bottle for my son who makes Glenallachie for a living . It’s really nice …like a malt . SLAINTE MHATH ?
