The Sassenach is the first whisky launched by Sam Heughan (who you may know as the actor who plays Jamie Fraser on hit sci-fi TV show Outlander), inspired by picturesque Highland landscapes. Expect waves of butterscotch, fresh citrus and warming spices from this tasty blended Scotch whisky.
Fresh apricot and orange, with a drizzle of caramel and a slow build of cinnamon.
Waves of honey and vanilla fudge, dotted with raisin, almond and another helping of cinnamon spiciness.
Lasting nutmeg, citrus oils and toffee.
Learning how to do this right. How to properly enjoy the taste. Ordered special glasses to sip from. How to make perfect ice, IF I want to add it. So far, learning to just enjoy Sassanach, on its own.
Very smooth. I enjoy this blend straight up or over an ice cube. In the past year while waiting for its release I prepared my palette by trying 18 different kinds and I definitely do prefer The Sassenach. My second choice was a ipa barrel finished Glenfiddich. I am hoarding my Sassenach supply and refuse to break into the commemorative boxed bottle. Looking forward to August release.
Hands down the very best Scotch my husband or I have ever had! We drink a lot of Bourbons and other American whiskeys not usually a Scotch fan specially but had to try the legendary Sassanach and it definitely did not disappoint!!

Very impressed with the unexpected smooth fruity flavours on the tongue. I normally drink a good Bourbon or Irish Whisky as I find them a little smoother. However the Sassenach was a very pleasant surprise both with the smoothness and fruity flavours. I will be ordering more.
