The Sassenach is the first whisky launched by Sam Heughan (who you may know as the actor who plays Jamie Fraser on hit sci-fi TV show Outlander), inspired by picturesque Highland landscapes. Expect waves of butterscotch, fresh citrus and warming spices from this tasty blended Scotch whisky.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose Fresh apricot and orange, with a drizzle of caramel and a slow build of cinnamon.

Palate Waves of honey and vanilla fudge, dotted with raisin, almond and another helping of cinnamon spiciness.

Finish Lasting nutmeg, citrus oils and toffee.

Sassenach
I was never much of a drinker more a bourbon & coke kind of sipper. Then I tried Sassenach and now when I do feel like a drink I drink scotch neat something I never thought I’d do. I love Sassenach and am excited it’s available more than before!🫶✨🤩

I'll start with, "I'm not an alcohol drinker"
I bought it because of Sam Heughan.
However, I did buy some samples just to find out what it taste like? Ummm, I still don't like the taste of Alcohol! I'm sure the avid spirit drinker will love it.

On the other hand, I did like the Gin, for this non alcohol lover, the Gin was tasty, refreshing and would go beautifully in my Christmas punch!

A Clear Favourite
I bought a bottle for my husband a few years ago and he’s asked for a replacement every time he finishes one, the only other staple permanently in his collection is Scapa. Expensive for a blend but it’s smooth, fruity, fudgey notes make it stand out.

I’m not usually known for drinking whisky straight up, more so in cocktails or a hot toddy, however trying the Sassenach brand has changed my mind. I love everything about this blended whisky, taste, fragrance when you open the beautiful bottle is absolutely amazing. I’m pleased Sam Heughan didn’t white label someone else’s creation, he knows his stuff when it comes to whisky. Kudos to Master of Malt for stocking and dispatching so quickly

Best whiskey I’ve ever had!
Ngl I bought this whiskey because I love Sam and Outlander but I wasn’t expecting to love this whiskey as much as I do. Everything about this Whiskey is PERFECT! The bottle, the cork, the scent, the FLAVOUR! As soon as I opened it I was getting hints of caramel and vanilla. I will be repurchasing for those special occasions. Thank you Sam 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿💙
