Distilled at the Willowbank distillery on New Zealand's South Island, this is a 21 year old, 1990 vintage single malt. The Willowbank distillery has since been closed down, but that didn't stop this whisky from receiving 95 points in Jim Murray's Whisky Bible 2014.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Rich, toasted oak. Quite tropical too, with a hint of coconut and guava. Floral.
Palate
Spicy, toasted palate. Creamy vanilla and barnyard. Dried grass, allspice. Malt.
Finish
Thick, malty finish. A dusting of spice on the tail.
