This was distilled on New Zealand's South Island at the Willowbank distillery in 1993. It was then aged in a single cask for 18 years before bottling at natural cask strength by The New Zealand Malt Whisky Company.
Toasted, oaky nose. Hints of caramel and allspice. Butterscotch.
Dried banana and cracked black pepper. Hints of citrus.
Zesty, peppery finish. A little lingering sweetness.
