The Macallan M Copper (2022 Release)
The Macallan’s remarkable M Collection is designed to celebrate the brand’s ‘six pillars’: natural colour, mastery, the estate, exceptional oak casks, sherry seasoning, and curiously small spirit stills. The latter is one of the defining features of the distillation process and represents a fascinating moment in Macallan’s history, as at a time when larger, higher production copper stills were all the rage, Macallan remained committed to its own distinctive shape and size.
Tasting Note by The Producer
Nose
Sweet banana, pear, and white peach combined with malty biscuit, marshmallow, and vanilla with a hint of citrus lemon.
Palate
Pear drops, caramelised banana, and sherbet, developing into malt and spiced oak.
Finish
Long, smooth toasted oak.
