“Awesome expression form Macallan, and very affordable for the quality. Like creamy spicy desert, all the coffee and chocolate lifted with just enough ginger and citrus. Perfume on the nose, heaven on the tongue, really cannot stop it is so morish.”

The Macallan Edition No.2

The second release from the Macallan Edition series is a collaboration between Master Whisky Maker Bob Dalgarno and the three brothers behind El Celler de Can Roca (named Best Restaurant in the World twice by Restaurant magazine). This single malt was drawn from a combination of European and American oak casks.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose

Mocha, brown sugar, a spark of ginger and some oak-y warmth.

Palate

Notes of Sherried raisins and dried citrus peels develop, a hint of vegetal oak. Still a little chocolate-y.

Finish

Spiced fruit cake and lemon peels.
