A smashing, incredibly well-aged Macallan, released as part of the Speyside distillery's Red Collection! In classic Macallan style, it spent its slumber in sherry seasoned casks, and that rest went on for four decades! The collection was inspired by the distillery's 'Choice Old' range, released way back in 1903!
Tasting Note by The Producer
Nose
Orange and grapefruit combining with dark chocolate. Antique oak and wood spices with fig and poached pear.
Palate
Ginger, nutmeg and cinnamon with vanilla. An effervescence with malty notes and fig.
Finish
Long with delicate wisps of woodsmoke.
