This release of the much-adored Macallan 25 Year Old single malt pre-dates the move to annual releases in 2018. An immensely collectible whisky!

Very fruity, with notes of orange and pear on the nose. Also has a good dollop of sweet spices which develop into an almost smoky character. The sherry on the nose is refined and well balanced, with hints of honey and caramel.
Textbook malt delivery which gives way to a mouthful of dried apricots, prunes and figs. Hints of nutmeg and cinnamon weave in and out of an epic whack of honey that only a Speyside distillery of this kind of nobility can produce.
A long, full finish that carries fig, spices, chewy oak and a touch of light smoke.

color: amber. Malty, caramel, orange peel, light peat at the end, almond, apricot, precise balance of fruit, oak, spice, and even some peat; very provocative and nuanced. very mellow complex and long finish with spicy raisin in the back end that goes on forever. This is "wow" territory. Beautiful. 95 points. Compared with 3 other 25 year-old's: Hakushu 25 and Yamazaki 25, and this Macallan 25 got #2 place, after the Hakushu 25.
One of the best
The taste is godlike... Worth every penny
A wonderful classic for the special occasion. Save up and buy one before the price hits £1000, in my view, within the next 2 years.
Yummy, but so pricey!
