The Macallan's annual Sherry Oak range is bolstered with the 2023 release. The 18-year-old single malt has all the classic Macallan flavours you want thanks to its maturation in a series of high-quality, hand-picked sherry-seasoned oak casks from Jerez.
Caramel, sherry-soaked sultanas, orange peel, and winter spice.
Tinned peaches, creamy vanilla, ginger snaps, dried fruit, and dark chocolate.
Cinnamon and oak char.

I had this neat, dark and rich colour. Strong okay smell which gives your nose a punch. Oozzy quality strong taste but not overpowering really nice whisky to drink in the evening to help you relax, highly recommend it.
Wow, smells quite ‘christmassy’…spicy fruit. Gorgeous taste to match; sultanas and peaches / vanilla. Warm and engaging. Lovely with chocolate and cashews. I drink with 2/3 water ratio. Will buy again if on offer.
After a wonderful evening meal, we returned home, glad to be out of the cold rainy evening, we chose Macallan sherry oak 18 year old whisky over ice, it had that warm and sweet aroma of sherry, it had a golden colour, a deep warmth and a depth of flavour that stayed in your mouth long after the first taste. A fine single malt, that you would be glad to give or receive, to mark a special occasion
I sipped this very slowly to get the full pleasure of all the flavours. A bit woody a bit spicy but mellow and smooth all at once. I hope to share it only with my most loved.
Not usually a fan of a sherry cask but wow this whisky was something else, it tastes oaky/Slightly peated it has a slight burn but still nice and smooth Aromas of sherry and chocolate
