Single Malt
Scotland
1 Jan 1994

A well-sherried, full-bodied single malt from The Macallan distillery. This 1994 vintage matured exclusively in oloroso sherry oak casks from Jerez for just shy of two decades, and is bottled at 43% ABV.

The nose is punchy and of medium-body. There are notes of dry oak and wood shavings, hints of crème de cacao, crème anglaise and marmalade. There are notes of apple blossom and cut flowers.
The palate is quite sweet and rich. There are notes of winter spice and Demerara, hints of rum and sherried sultanas, vanilla emerges with cooked apples and cut rosy apples. There are notes of mixed peels.
The finish is of medium-length with a solid oak.

Silky, smooth, dark, rich, velvety. Deep sherry (of course) but with a nose of vanilla and orange, a palate that moves from sweet through spice and nearly to butterscotch. The finish is incredibly slow-to-fade with the spice returning amidst cream. For me, the perfect Macallan.
Like it very much
very very very great single malt whiskey, macallan like a rolls Royce very very smooth and long taste...
The nose is pretty peaty, but the taste is oh so sweet. So good it gave me the hiccups. I love this stuff.
This is a present that myexpressfreight.com gives out to their customers every year- i was lucky enough to receive a case. Very Very Good!
