Always My Go-To S.M. Whisky
During the single-malt whisky popularity contests of about a decade ago, I turned-on more than a few to The Macallan. None have returned to their previous single-malt whisky.

Always delicious. Once in a great while, I'll walk out of the store with an 18 year-old bottle under my arm.... and a grin.

With all due respect, I find it very difficult to take recommendations, either positive or negative, from a person that cannot seem to write a sentence in a cohesive and, readable, manner. If English is not your native tongue, then by all means post in your native tongue.

Super Dram my friends
This is what scotch is all about. It is high in price but that's what the fair market value for this scotch. The pure enjoyment that you feel when you open a bottle of this and quite frankly it's orgasmic. Do you remember the time when you hit that perfect seven iron on a tight pin six steps from the hazard. It's something that sticks to you and every time you thought about that shot the dopamine starts releasing uncontrollably. My friends that's THE MACALLAN 18 it's pure orgasmic.
BOB DALGARNO you Sir is a gift for all of us.

Majestic!!!
Regardless what the common crowd says; This is the definition of "sherried"! The value of good cask is worth-while, not just all commercial and marketing to it.

Dear Mike M.
Profits out weigh everything.
That's the true meaning of business.
If not, we'll be all eating dust here.
And, on the other side, if you like to pay more, we are always happy to offer more within limits.
Business is always business. We hope you can understand after trying our 1995 Macallan 18.

Mike M. Macallan 18 vs 12 USA
The difference between the 12yr and the 18yr at the time I purchased it(2013), in my opinion, was not worth the cash difference amount of the years and quality that I have had, KNOWN and EXPECTED from enjoying Macallan for over 20yrs. In years past when purchasing the 18 over the 12, it was IMMEDITE that one knew you had something that was deserving for the extra amount that was put forth. Recent purchases and inquires makes one think Macallan has ALMOST (and I hope not so) become caught up in no longer caring for the pure quality that it was always known for , but instead the QUANITY that seems Macallan has decided to send the best vintages to those who would pay only because they were told to do so(Asia/China)and not because of the pureness that made Macallan stand out among so many others. It always saddens me when I find something pure and tastefully, felling care and selectiveness has been over ruled by pure profit. It has yet become to this finale phase, and I hope Macallan DOESN'T ALLOW THE PROFITS OUT WEIGH THE GAIN...

The Best
I've had the pleasure of experiencing many a dram of scotch whisky, and this one has thus far taken the cake. It drinks like a fine wine; complex, flavorful, and smooth. I cannot compare it to my other regional favorites, because they each offer a different enjoyment. However, this is my top of the top shelf bottle. I'm not NOT in the mood to have a drink of it.

First time tasting the Mac 18
Lots of hype surrounding this one but after a purchase and cracking one open, dammit if the the thing doesn't live up it! Great single malt, an absolute must try for the sherried whisky fans. I've been spending hundreds of dollars on Glenmorangie, Aberlour and Balvenie - all awesome - and finally had to try this one and it is excellent. Superb nose, spent way longer than usual nosing it, big sherry influence as expected but with some pleasing toffee and vanilla and nutta notes on top, rich, full and nearly perfect, makes me wonder what it'd be like at cask strength! Taste is everything the nose promises and a little more. Wow, great stuff that needs no water (tried it some a half teaspoon and not much difference). Seems to be sold out at a lot of bay area Bevmo stores and other retailers so will be buying at least 2 backup bottles in the next couple weeks. 4 and a half stars easily. Superb dram if you can swing the 150 or so bucks for a bottle.
