This single malt was released by The Macallan to celebrate Lunar New Year 2021, the Year of the Ox! The classic 12 Year Old Double Cask, drawn from a combination of Oloroso sherry-seasoned American and European oak casks, is presented with some beautifully decorated packaging.
This bottle was part of a private collection and may show signs of wear if of a certain vintage - if you'd like more detailed photos just get in touch!
Classic dried fruit territory, if less intense than the Sherry Oak expression. Aromatic butterscotch, too.
Creamy and honeyed with some thick-cut marmalade, cinnamon and warm pastries.
Fruity with vanilla and sultana.
