Another act of heroism from the team at Forgotten Gems, preserving whisky history by hand bottling the very last drops from some rather rare casks, to make sure that not a dram goes to waste. This 30 year old single malt from Macallan is a prime example of this excellent work, limited to only 19 bottles in total.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Densely sherried, with oodles of Christmas cake and brown sugar notes.
Palate
Dark chocolate and anise, with another generous slice of Christmas cake not too far away.
Finish
Orange zest, ginger, and dried fruit.
