The Lost Distillery Company
Scotland
A blended malt based on the research into the Jericho distillery by The Lost Distillery Company. They find out all they can about long-closed distilleries and use that information to try and create a representation of what the whisky could have tasted like - which is awesome, by the way. The Jericho distillery was producing whisky between 1824 and 1913, but its isolation eventually meant that it ended up closing.
Cinnamon rolls, smokey peanut shells, a touch of cherry liqueur.
Peat sits in the background on the palate, letting vanilla and burnt sugar take centre stage.
A lingering hint of poached pear.

This is a poor one. It smells and tastes a bit like Buckfast with a finish that is very spirity. It must be young. It is very dark in colour so probably has colouring in it unless it really has some Bucky in it. Not worth trying a shot in a bar let alone a bottle at this price.
2022.06.23 Overall 4/5 Nose: cola, Cinnamon Palate: vanilla, cola Finish: poached pear, sweet
Quite an unusual blend of flavours as the description alludes. I just wonder it this is anything like the actual whisky last produced in 1913 (Who knows?) If you are looking for something a bit different, but still recognisable as a fine malt blend then Jericho could be for you. An intense development of flavours and a long finish. I really like it and sold at a fair price.
