It's another excellent release in the Whiskymaker's Editions series from The Lakes, which sees whiskymaker Dhavall Gandhi explore exciting flavour profiles that differ from The Lakes' sherry-cask-forward house style. This expression, dubbed Mosaic, is a single malt that takes inspiration from the Silk Road, bringing together flavours from around the world to produce a complex and finely-crafted whisky. Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose Cassia and five-spice, with hints of gingerbread, aromatic sandalwood and mint leaf underneath.

Palate Creamy vanilla leading into a touch of orange, soon joined by wood smoke and forest floor richness, plus flashes of caraway.

Finish A long finish, with toasted spices, lemon peel, and oak lingering.
