Moving on from their Early Days releases, Sweden's Box distillery have moved onto their 2nd Step Collection for their whiskies! The first release in this collection is a well-peated single malt matured in American oak casks before being bottled in February 2015 at 51.1% ABV.
A crash of medicinal peat comes through clear at first, swiftly followed up by juicy pineapple and satsuma.
Malt is vanilla-forward though enjoyably smoky. Hints of salty liquoirce.
Earthy and long, with a little hint of dark chocolate mousse.
