Sherried Glenlivet single malt, released as part of the Nàdurra range. This was aged in first-fill Oloroso Sherry casks before being bottled without any chill-filtration or additional colours, and presented at cask strength.
Cinnamon, raisins and a touch of sawdust. Lighter notes of flaky pastry develop.
Chocolatey at first, though soon enough waves of oily malt and dried fruit take over.
Lingering warmth of Christmas spice.

I enjoy a smooth and bold Scotch and Glenlivet Nadurra is right up there. The taste and finish summary on this webpage is about right. My wife liked it less, she likes a smooth, subtle taste like a Glenfiddich. My point; excellent bold taste without being too strong and a terrific sip.
