The Guardians have spoken! In late 2013, Glenlivet sent out samples of three different single malts to the Guardians of Glenlivet all over the world and let them choose what would be the next release for the distillery. The winner was this limited edition exotic single malt, which features a proportion of ex-Spanish Sherry butt matured whisky. The Glenlivet Guards' Chapter has plenty of plump raisin, dark chocolate and warming spice notes to keep the Guardians happy.

Wonderful smell and mouthfeel, though in the finish it is very clear that this whisky is rather young, and they describe it as spicy i describe it as spirity and dry!
The nose on this one is quite delightful. The exotic fruit notes pervade and provide a balance throughout the taste experience. The Guardian's Chapter is a nice addition to the Glenlivet family.
Hard to believe this was the best of the three options. For the same money, stick to the Nadurra.
just bought a bottle, can't wait to try it. any idea the age of this dram? hope it's not just 12 years.
Not overly impressed by this one. It's rubbery on the nose, and that carries on in the taste. Seems altogether that the choice of sherry casks was poor. With water the defects become more prominent, so I prefer to drink it without water. Luckily it is rather smooth at nearly 50%.
