Reviews for The Glenlivet Caribbean Reserve
It's... okay...
I'll be honest, I've not been a fan of Glenlivet compare to what else is out there, but thought I'd give them another go with this rum cask finish. I get alot of honeydew melon and some other notes. But I'm still not overly impressed. It's a very easy, mellow drinking whisky. Breakfast whisky as some would say. I feel like this could have been so much more if the abv was a few % more, 43 or 46% to give the mellow notes a kick of spice.
Again, not my tipple, but I'll be sure to try whatever else they venture into in a few years time. You know, for curiosity...
Would have got 2 stars, but gave the extra half for being on offer. Marketed well. It fooled me.

The real crowd pleaser!
A real crowd pleaser! Don’t be put off by any mediocre reviews of this fine expression from The Glenlivet. Smooth, sweet on the nose and an easy light finish with the rum and caramel coming through.

Very enjoyable, light and uncomplicated.
Ok its not an expensive whisky, but I enjoyed every sip. Light & smooth, gentle sweetness conjuring honey and tropical papaya notes

Decent Old Fashioned Fodder
This is not a whisky to sip slowly and saviour. It’s one to enjoy in a cocktail or in a highball. Don’t worry about what it’s not, enjoy it for what it is.

GLENLIVET Caribbean Reserve
Dont feed the trolls below... this Scotch is the best bang for your buck around. When im looking for a cheap dram this is spectacular.
The Look: Copper
The Nose: Honey, Toffee, Coffee, Sweet Berries, Plum
The Taste: Plum Pudding, Sweet Berries, Cream, Cherry
The Finish: Only about 10 seconds, not great on the Finish
The Bottle: Classic Glenlivet look with a pop of orange color, which suits the flavor profile.
THE VERDICT: 87 PTS
One of the only Scotches under 35 bucks that I truly thoroughly enjoy. The finish is completely lacking however and once you swallow you have about 10 seconds to savor.
