This is a rare 1965 bottling of The Glenlivet by George and J.G.Smith.
Malty with estery notes of green fruits, especially brambly apples and gooseberries.
Strawberries and raspberries followed by toffee and cream with a hint of wood char.
The finish is rich and fruity with a little butterscotch on the tail.
This Glenlivet is well balanced and is packed with flavour.

I have one bottle left, relished in the enjoyment of several over the years - the foregoing is a description to behold - 'a speechless suspense'. The taste is so long; its memeory lingering for eternity. Each time you enjoy whisky such is the 'release of its imprisoned flavours' the rare event forms a state of enjoyable mind searching? PS Had no idea of its present day cost no wonder it marked 'sold out.'
