This was distilled at the Glenlivet distillery in 1973 before a 38 year maturation in a single cask (number 10658). It was bottled for Berry Brothers and Rudd in 2012 and it comes at natural cask strength with neither chill-filtration nor caramel-colouring.
Nose: Plummy, fruit nose with apricots, tangerines and spice.
Palate: Creamy and malty palate with hints of cocoa butter and candied orange peel. Beautifully citrusy stuff.
Finish: Thick, creamy malt with oily spices and chocolate.
Overall: Full of creamy, sweet and spicy flavours.
