Independently bottled 33 year old Glenlivet here - oh yes, this'll be tasty stuff! It was distilled in 1977 and bottled in 2010 by Murray McDavid as part of their Mission Gold range, and it certainly in a rather handsome golden hue indeed. 285 bottles were produced.
Flaky pastry, ripe grapes, plenty of oak, bitter hops. A light whiff of tobacco smoke develops later on.
Caramel, nutty chocolate, honeycomb, almonds and meaty malt.
Long and satisfying, with apricot and fudge pieces.
