Nose: Pure Christmas cake - sherry, dried fruit and baking spices as well as hazelnut and blood orange is complemented by butterscotch and a little brine. Oloroso-soaked wood and leather develop underneath.
Palate: Bittersweet orange chocolate, plump, sweet sultanas and black honey adds to the lingering notes from nose alongside herbal flowers and a refined oak note. A flicker of ginger percolates throughout.
Finish: The chocolate becomes darker along slightly bitter espresso and prunes.
