This indie Speysider began its life at the Glenlivet Distillery in 2004. The single malt spent the following 14 years in a single refill bourbon barrel, until it was bottled in July 2019. Gordon & MacPhail released 162 cask strength bottles for the Connoisseurs Choice series, weighing in at 64% ABV.
Vanilla sponge cake, with ripe pear and lychee.
A floral undertone leads into milk chocolate praline, fresh stone fruit and marzipan.
Oily nuts and a hint of kitchen herbs, supported by crème brûlée.
