Description

This 15 year old expression from The Glenlivet, was matured in French Limousin Oak casks. Limousin Oak is a popular choice for maturation of Cognac.

Nose

The nose is rich and oaked. There are notes of chewy resinous wood with a well-balanced acidity. Fudge and Madeira with apple crumble with calvados.

Palate

The palate is full and rich with winter spice; cinnamon and cloves, thick oak with developing aridity.

Finish

The finish is long and dry with a peppery note.

Incredible taste!!!!!!!

I am a huge fan of The Glenlivets... ALL of them!!! This is my favorite "Everyday" version... It is very smooth and the "oaky" flavor comes through with the spices showing all through out the experience with a wonderful end... Just perfect!!

When a stable offering lights it up

Nose: Clear grapefruit. Very clear. Palate: Orange chocolate on the end which is leftover after a whirlwind of grapefruit. After: Very light wood spice with a slight spur that blinks the whiskey out of its existence in your mouth.

Great Scotch

Given thus as an Xmas present. Just opened and really enjoying it. Very smooth, last finish, subtle fruit flavours and inner warmth. Excellent
