The first release of a Calvados finished single malt from the Glasgow distillery, this single cask Scotch whisky was filled into just 270 bottles at 58.7% ABV on 20 June 2023. The contents of a single cask were the brand's unpeated double distilled spirit, which was filled on 23 May 2017 into a first-fill bourbon cask initially before it was laid to rest for two years and five months in a Calvados French brandy cask. Expect apples, apples, apples...
Fresh green apples and poached pear on the nose complemented by vibrant vanilla and citrus, with hints of baking spices and dark fruits.
The palate is packed with freshly sliced apple, tropical fruit, hints of kiwi, vanilla custard, stone fruits, and a slight oak spice.
The finish is long and satisfying with notes of caramel and baked apple pie with a dusting of nutmeg.
