The Dubliner Whiskey Bottling Note

The Dubliner is a blended Irish whiskey which has been aged in bourbon casks and crafted by Master Blender John Drennan. A new addition to the Dubliner range, which you might know from their Dubliner Irish Whiskey Liqueur (combining whiskey, caramel and honeycomb).

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Well honey'd on the nose, with subtle nods to orchard fruits.

Palate: Enjoyable notes of golden malt shine through more honey and a touch of white pepper.

Finish: Quite sweet on the finish.

Dubliner Irish Whiskey Reviews

Very underrated

Really surprised by how nice this was for £25. So much oaky barrel, a bit like the Glendalough's I've tried but with a sweeter note, it's delish! Do yourself a favour and give it a try!

Price is really ok but that whisky is to damm sweet. Fells like like damm corn syrup or a Polish sweet hondy liker.

People that saying Jameson is better this mean they never try real Jameson.
This whiskey is way better. Taste is awesome, gentle and soft.

Love Irish whiskey, this ain't one of them.

If you've tried Jamesons Crested do yourself a favour and don't bother buying this. Tastes like it's corked and isn't smooth on the pallet. Even normal Jamesons is better than this. Only good point is it's better than 'The Pogues' whiskey which is really yuck.

Very good Irish

Very good indeed and for £20 a bottle in the sale at Sainsbury’s you can’t go wrong !

Pretty good Irish Whiskey

Very smooth, light bodied Irish Whisky. I think I prefer it over your std Jameson Whiskey. I prefer Ardbeg, Laphroaig, Bruichladdich.... basically heavily peated Islay scotch, but when I am in the mood for a switch and something sweet. This was good

Excellent Irish whiskey

Best dam Irish whiskey I have ever tasted, I wish I could get it in Florida, U.S.A. and Florida Keys.

Nice for a change

I usually drink Scotch, and often malts, but saw this and thought for the price (about 15 quid) it was worth a try. Oh, I like it. Sweet and dry. Very pleasant for a sipping session. I probably won't drink it all the time, but it's a sociable little dram.

Bourbon cask?

Over ice smooth and nutty. Good deal for the money.

V v nice in good family surroundings

OUTSTANDING-- Very smooth and sweet. A tremendous alternative to the usual malts( peaty) I usually favour Made all the more exquisite by the fact I tasted it for the 1st time in Gibraltar on the final day of 6 Nations Wales v Ireland. Bought a litre bottle at a tremendous inexpensive price

You get what you pay for, value for money is the name of the game here. 75/100

Nose: Artificial Honey Syrup, Apple Orchard.

Palate: Corn Liquor, Stewed Peppers.

Finish: Stiff, Lingering.

Not bad

Lite and a little to sweet for my liking.

10th March 2019

Smooth Finish

I like it. I drink Jameson, and Jack Daniels occasionally. I will admit, I don't know a lot about Whiskey, but I can share what I like and what I don't like. This is easy to sip. It's smooth, and sort of sweet at the finish (which I enjoyed). The taste doesn't linger long on the tongue. I just had a wee drop of it straight.

Nice to sip over an hour

Didn't realise it was a blend, until I read the label and confirmed it here. Still, a nice drop.

Had it at an Irish restaurant! Loved it! The honeycomb was a surprise, but a pleasant one. A great desert, after dinner drink!

I like it a lot. Smooth and tasty when aged in bourbon casks. Will buy again.

Great Product

My daughter gave me a bottle of this for Christmas - I LOVE IT.. it is chilly, wet evening here in Texas... I have made me an Irish coffee.... just a shot of this, good home ground coffee beans, and a shot of whipped cream. OMG is this so good - especially on an evening like this. Thank you for producing such a great whiskey... yum

Good, straight-forward Irish

Nice, easy-drinker. Traditional Irish flavors. Good value!

14th August 2016

Try their Single Malt

If you like the blended, try the recently released 10 year old Single Malt. It's outstanding with a distinctive smokey oily character but yet with pleasant hints of dried fruit.

Smooth, and a keeper

I like Dewars, and Bushmills...this has climbed to the top for me. My staples if you wondered. And I have had the pleasure of regular trials of Jameson, and the odd Oban or Yamazaki. For the price, this one rules over the rest... For me there are many factors to consider and price is one of them :)
