The Three Drinkers No.1 Bottling Note

Master of Malt exclusive!

Those folks from Amazon Prime TV show The Three Drinkers have been busy. Not only have Aidy Smith, Helena Nicklin and Colin Hampden-White got the second season of their show ready (premiering in December), they've also got their very own whisky to go with it! Featuring a flavour profile inspired by the locations visited on the show, The Three Drinkers Scotch Whisky Cask Selection No. 1 is a 17 year old blended malt Scotch whisky boasting brilliant notes of fudge, dried fruit and festive spices. No chill-filtration or additional colouring here, and each bottle has been signed by the eponymous trio themselves!

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Jamaican ginger cake, stewed apples, melted butter and a touch of floral barley.

Palate: Juicy apricot sweetness as it opens, followed by cinnamon, clove and sultana. Very subtle smoke, with a few hints of salted caramel along the way.

Finish: Vanilla tablet, almond and Victoria sponge cake.

amazing for this price!!!

17yo at this price and taste. No brainer.

Nicely sherried whisky. Very very easy drinking. Am a fan of blended malts anyway but for less than £40 for a 17 year old sherry heavy malt...... I say no more !

Integrity Malted Blend

What a fantastic drink. So easy going, juicy and drinkable. It has all the notes that have been mentioned plus I get a waxy, leathery note. Can see myself enjoying this with friends and family at Christmas.

Non chill filtered, no colouring added, 45%, and only 300 bottles of it. They're really going for integrity here.

Great first offering from The Three Drinkers

I've watched their show so was really excited to get my hands on one of these so I could enjoy a dram when Part 2 comes out. I already opened the bottle and am really happy. For the price you don't (often) get this much age and it's a really balanced blend full of flavour. Well done!

17 Year Old + 45% + only 300 bottles + hand signed = you do the math!

I wasn't sure what to expect but it's lovely so decided to get some more before it's gone.

Great Xmas dram

Colin G
Just opened a bottle and it's an excellent value blended malt. Full of flavour. Perfect Christmas drink. Nice bit of spicy wood showing it's 17 years.

However, it looks and tastes identically to another 17 yo 45% bottling I have. A Bartels bottling under the labelling 'his excellency'. Only 50 bottles were produced from cask 11. Is this the same barrel MOM? If so, it doesn't seem that the trio had much to do with having a whisky created for their Scottish experience at all. Apologies if I am completely wrong. Either way it's good whisky.
