The Claymore

The term "claymore" is from the Scottish Gaelic for "great sword", and it's an ancient style of Scottish sword used by the Highlanders. This wonderful blended whisky was created in its honour.

Used to like it , but the new bottle shape appears to contain a slightly different blend, which has too much of a caramel after taste for my liking. Still good value.
Strong nose of caramel, ripe bananas, a hint of peat smoke along with some cashew nuts, very sweet and quite smooth in texture! Given the price I paid, I think it offered exceptional value! Recommend to drink it neat and slightly chilled, delicious!

Good whisky, cheap price. Maybe need some soda water taste is better.
It is'nt a patch on the original scotch whisky. Blending it has made it harsh and not so mellow. Stop blending it!
