Wine Cask
This blended Scotch whisky joins The Antiquary collection. It's a combo of Highland and Speyside malts and Lowland grains that spent 15 years maturing, including a generous marrying period in Claret red wine casks from Bordeaux!
Polished wood, fragrant tobacco, with clove-studded oranges, barbecued stone fruits and leathery oak.
Sticky, sweet dates join tangy, fruity notes of rhubarb and raspberry, with oaken vanilla nestling beneath.
Jammy red fruits linger, with delicately woody warming spice.

From the taster dram so may not be fair but this is a strange whiskey: on the nose a weedy veggie smell but this improved on taste but not much with a thin mouthfeel as does not taste like a 15 year old.
Harsh for a 15 year old. And for me the claret tones clash with the malts and grains.
Beautifully bottled smooth scotch single malt whiskey! Nothing better!
