The Antiquary 21 Year Old

The Antiquary 21 Bottling Note

This is a 21 year old expression from The Antiquary, described by critics as complex and elegant.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

The nose is of medium-body with notes of soft peat smoke and a rooty character. There are herbal notes with a cut hay character, there are hints of winter berries. The palate is quite well-rounded and full, there are notes of cut hay and honey, caramel and a touch of dry oak, a little fruit note develops. The finish is long and smooth.

Reviews for The Antiquary 21 Year Old
Liquid magic
A wonderful whisky, which is well-nigh impossible to find in Canada. But on a trip to Portugal, I came across a liquor store in Lisbon with two bottles. I grabbed them both. Not cheap but worth every penny. The 12-year-old Antiquary is excellent but this is in another league.

Excellent stuff
This is a fantastic blend. Well worth the price. Obviously would be nicer at a higher proof but then the dummies would say it tastes too hot! I've never had the Aniquary 12 but I definitely am going to try it.

Highly recommended
A friend brought several small bottles of 'hard to find' scotch back from a visit to Scotland, and while all were enjoyable the Antiquiary 21 was the true stand out - I loved it! Highly recommended.

Best of the best
A all round great quality Scotch, very smooth with the right balance of flavour and strength. In my opinion it is one of the best Whiskeys available at the moment.
