A big, bold single malt from Speyside, independently bottled by That Boutique-y Whisky Company. This BEAST hails from an undisclosed DUFFTOWN distillery, and finished its nine-year maturation in a sherry butt, before being bottled at cask strength.
Batch 1 is a release of 1,059 bottles.
That Boutique-y Whisky Company bottles limited edition whiskies from a variety of renowned distilleries as well as producing award-winning blends. These whiskies are adorned with cultish graphic novel-style labels.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Big waves of fruit lead, with prunes and raisins joined by cooked orchard fruits and candied nuts. Earthy notes of cacao and coffee grounds bring depth.
Palate
Dense, oily barley coats the palate, with fruit-studded milk chocolate, roasted coffee beans, and bold, oaken spice.
Finish
Cinnamon and anise bring warmth to the finish, while robust, oily malt lingers.
